This is a straight shot. The two figures wrapped in colorful garb and corresponding colorful canines were not posed. The subjects are romping around in the snow and are captured in moment in time by a photographer pounding the pavement in his galoshes. An unceasing and unrelenting desire to find and document form, light and design characterizes Mitchell Funk's work for over 47 years .

Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
