This print from the artist’s “Fantastic Flora” series is a photograph captured by a scanner of an artful arrangement of plastic flowers. The series is both an innovative homage to the beauty of the Baroque flower-painting tradition and a challenge to viewers to reconcile discomfort with patent artificiality in photography with its unquestioned acceptance in painting.

Signed, dated, and numbered verso.
Print #1 is framed with a white mat and square-profile white frame and UV acrylic, 22 x 22 in. overall. Frame was new in 2013 and may show slight wear consistent with professional gallery exhibition and storage.
Unframed print #s 2-5 are printed on demand; often they can be shipped more quickly, but please allow up to four weeks.
