This event, held at the Palais de la Défense in November 1950, celebrated childhood and family with a focus on the latest advancements and products for young people.
Morvan's poster stands out with its charming and playful design, capturing the essence of the event. The clarity of his designs, the uncluttered compositions, the subtle use of texture and the unique sense of humour that comes through in his images. Not to mention the simple, sophisticated, bright colours that are always inventively used. French painter. His work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1948 Summer Olympics. French poster and advertising artist Hervé Morvan became well-known for his advertising poster for Perrier in 1950. Thereafter he drew increasing attention from his following works for Vittel, Evian, Danone, and Esso. He created several advertising posters for kids, food/drink, household, fashion, travel, campaigns, alcohol, cigarettes, film and music, and greeting cards. Morvan’s posters emphasized colorful, cute, and adorable characters. Morvan was a friend of Raymond Savignac, who also had a playful style that hints at Morvan’s own. The two French artists knew each other and were influenced by the other’s style, though they competed in their fields. Like other poster artists of this period (Villemot and Savignac), Morvan was inspired by the work of Cassandre, Loupot, and Carlu.

1982 vintage poster by Razzia for the Paris Posters exhibition
By Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix–Dénériaz)
Located in PARIS, FR
This striking 1982 vintage poster, designed by Razzia, was created to promote the Paris Posters exhibition at the Musée de l’Affiche et de la Publicité during the summer (Été 82). Featuring a bold and graphic collage-style composition, the artwork embodies the dynamic energy of 1980s design.
Razzia, a renowned French graphic artist, is celebrated for his iconic Art Deco-inspired poster designs with a modern twist. In this piece, he juxtaposes a stylized black-and-white Eiffel Tower, a monochrome portrait of a woman, and an accordion transformed into the Arc de Triomphe, all set against a dramatic black background with vivid color accents.
The use of cutout-style imagery and neon-inspired typography reflects the postmodern aesthetic of the early 1980s, capturing the bold creativity of the era. The vibrant contrast of yellow, red, and blue highlights adds to the poster’s visual impact, making it a standout example of contemporary French graphic design.
A rare and collectible piece, this original Razzia poster...
