Nämforsen was inspired by the rapids I encountered during a road trip I made a few years ago in central Sweden. These rapids are the site of one of the largest collections of rock carvings in Europe, the oldest of which were probably made around 4500 BC. I loved the force of the water and the history of the site. the sister print to this is currently in the RA Summer Exhibition
