About the Item
The artwork depicts a vibrant and dynamic scene featuring members of a circus troupe, characterized by lively colors and expressive forms. Central to the piece are performers, including acrobats, clowns, and dancers, each captured in mid-motion, suggesting a sense of movement and energy.
Simbari's use of bold and vivid colors—reds, blues, yellows, and greens—enhances the joyful and celebratory mood of the piece. The colors are applied in broad, sweeping strokes, giving the image a sense of fluidity and spontaneity.
This particular print is a printer’s proof, which means it is a preliminary print produced to check the quality and accuracy of the image before the final edition is printed. It is not signed or numbered, distinguishing it from the limited edition prints that are typically signed and numbered by the artist.
