About the Item
Original poster designed by Yves Bonnat in 1953 to promote the 3rd Gala of the foreign press, held at the Théâtre de Paris.
This gala was also a celebration of Mi-Carême. Mi-Carême is a traditional carnival festival of French origin. It is celebrated on the day arriving at the halfway point of the Lenten period, i.e., according to Christian tradition, the twentieth of the forty days of fasting before Easter.
