About the Item
Molly Schulps is an artist and educator living in both California and Oregon. She grew up in Southern California and was deeply influenced by her father who was a successful educator and master potter. Molly works in her home studio making both sculpture and utilitarian ceramics. When she is not in the studio or classroom, she likes to explore her surrounding environments collecting imagery, sketching and researching. Her artwork explores narratives and visual imagery related to animals and the environment. Schulps has served as a professor of ceramics for the last 18 years at Cypress College and was the art department chair for the last 6 years. She has been invited to participate in some significant exhibitions at various museums and is in both public and private collections.

JENNY DAY earned an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Arizona, a BFA in Painting from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz. Her exhibition record most recently includes the Phoenix Art Museum, Blue Star Art Museum, in San Antonio, TX, Arte Laguna in Venice, Italy, Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in Korea, and Elmhurst Museum in Chicago, IL.
