Set of 10 English 19th Century Ladder Back Dining Chairs
Located in Bedfordshire, GB
A delightful set of 10 matched late 19th century
English ash and elm ladder back country design
farmhouse dining chairs consisting of 8 single chairs
and 2 armchairs having elegant wavy ladderbacks
over rushed seats raised on turned legs
and stretchers
(These chairs are in excellent functional condition. They have been
through our workshops for a wax and been tightened up so they are
ready to go straight into use. The rushed seats are all in good order
with some re rushed at different points over the past hundred years and
therefore the rush has a slightly different look to it, but the seats are all
stained to the same color and most importantly the rush in all of them
is very much fit for purpose which is of great importance these days
with restoration of rushed seats costing significant money. The chairs
are matched, meaning that they did not all start life together and that
is the case with almost all sets of country dining chairs...
