Artist: Gary Kremen
Large 5+-Foot Landscape Oil Painting on Canvas by Gary Kremen, Framed
By Gary Kremen
Located in Encino, CA
Untitled Landscape, an original oil on canvas by Gary Kremen, is a piece for the true collector. Kremen's fine attention to detail is evident here, depicting a desert landscape set beneath vast mountains, complete with cactus and wildlife in the middle ground. The sky with its range of light to deep blues fills the top of the painting. This example showcases Kremen's keen ability to capture emotion, nature, and life - all in a brushstroke. Both his technical talent and choice of subject matter pair perfectly with the frameless style of hanging. This masterful work would make a great addition to an art collection and enhance most any home, perfect for those who have an affinity for landscapes, desert scenery, realism, and nature.

MYTHIC SEASCAPE WITH FANTASTICAL ARCHITECTURE
In Sanctuary of the Sea (2015), Robert Kenneth White presents a visionary coastal realm—part ancient city, part imagined utopia. Classical domes and soaring towers rise from lush hillsides and rugged cliffs, their golden light and crisp detailing reminiscent of both Mediterranean antiquity and high fantasy world-building. Rich sapphire waters lap against stone piers as a sailboat makes its way through the tranquil harbor, offering a sense of scale and serenity.
Executed in oil with White’s signature attention to atmospheric color and architectural clarity, this large-format landscape blends historical evocation with imaginative escape. The composition feels cinematic and immersive, balancing realism with reverie—inviting comparisons to romantic illustrators like Maxfield Parrish, the architectural surrealism of Simon Stålenhag, or the coastal visions of classical landscape painters.

THE ARTIST:
Robert Kenneth White is known for his richly imagined compositions that merge classical realism with visionary storytelling. His works often blend architectural fantasy with mythic naturalism, drawing comparisons to the luminous worlds of Maxfield Parrish and the immersive landscapes of James Gurney, creator of Dinotopia. White’s painterly technique—marked by soft atmospheric transitions and crisp linearity—recalls Thomas Cole and J.M.W. Turner, while his symbolic, storybook environments resonate with fans of Roger Dean...

Located in Wiscasset, ME
Marine painter Warren W. Sheppard was born in Greenwich, New Jersey, to a ship captain father who instilled in his son a love and respect for the sea. He studied privately with Mauritz F. H. De Haas and took courses in drawing at Cooper Union in New York City. He traveled along the Mediterranean coast in 1879, sketching the ports of Naples, Gibraltar, Genoa and Messina. Sheppard’s foreign tours continued between 1888 and 1893, with stays in Paris and Venice, where he captured the architecture and busy canals of the Floating City. This fondness for travel also translated to his home country. He sailed along the East Coast from New Jersey to Maine in search of subjects and was an expert navigator, eventually writing the book Practical Navigation. Yacht design became a second career for Sheppard and he participated in a number of sailing competitions himself, most notably winning the New York-to-Bermuda race twice while skipper of the Tamerlane.
Sheppard exhibited at the Denver Exposition, Chicago Exposition...
