Jacoulet was famed for his techniques involving lacquers, embossing, mica, and metal pigments, and with experimentations with powdered semi-precious stones. These authentic smaller, more personalized prints, known as surimonos, were made after designs of his regular, larger woodblocks...

Exquisite in design and execution. This work, titled "Moon", is by Japanese master printmaker Toko Shinoda (1913-2021) who is universally known for her merging of traditional Japanese calligraphy with modern abstract expressionism and use of Sumi ink. This print is hand-signed in pencil, titled, dated (1965), and numbered (3 /10) by the artist. It is from a very limited and small edition thus scarce and rare.
