Practical Antique Handcrafted Mahogany & Leather Library Steps w. Drawer and Lid
Located in Lisse, NL
Sturdy stairs or steps with beautiful patina and leather inlaid surfaces.
If you are looking for cool looking and practical to use library steps then this antique specimen from the late 1800s could be yours to own and enjoy soon. This rare design is veneered with a striking mahogany and over the many decades its color or patina has only grown richer. Another great feature are the lids with the practical compartments underneath. The one in the second tier is even larger than the one in the top tier, because it can be pulled out. This piece was made to be stylish, but it was even more important for it to be useful and durable and that is exactly what it has proven to be. These stairs are as strong and stabile as the day they were handcrafted, all those years ago and this kind of workmanship and design will look great in all kinds of interiors.
Mind you, our fair price for these antique steps...
