Zvi Adler Landscape Paintings

In this painting the artist depicts the verdant hillsides outside Jerusalem, the use of complementary colors next to each other makes them appear more vibrant and and allows for the perspective to be slightly exaggerated. He was an Art Teacher in Debrecen, Hungary. Sometime in 1944, Zvi Adler and his family were loaded onto a transport for Auschwitz. Their train was diverted to Lager 15 in Vienna, and then to Theresienstadt, where they were liberated by the Soviet Army on May 8, 1945.
