Set of 4 vintage coasters is hand painted with Sun Face decor; each face is unique, with its own expression. Minimal color palette enhances the subtle variations between the pieces. We have 2 sets of coasters at the time of the listing; the decision was made to list them separately (set 1 and set 2) due to uniqueness of the facial art. This is a good, Mason's ironstone hydra jug with a snake handle in the Cashmire De Thibet pattern dating to the William 1Vth English 19th century period, circa 1832-1836 The jug has an octagonal hydra shape with a snake handle. This pattern is not often seen. It is called "Cashmire De Thibet" and is illustrated on page 60 of the book; A Guide To Mason's Patent Ironstone Patterns, published by The Mason's Collectors' Club. The jug is unmarked to the base as was sometimes the case, but is definitely by Mason's Ironstone as they were the only manufacturer to produce a jug in this shape with this pattern and dating to the English William 1Vth period circa 1832-1836.
