A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver Armada jug and stand; part of our wine and drinks related silverware collection This magnificent antique Victorian English sterling silver Armada jug has an elongated pear-shaped form onto a circular pedestal foot. The stand has an octofoil shaped form with a central swept raised circular well. The cylindrical neck of the silver jug is embellished with exceptional cast and applied floral and scrolling foliate decoration, all on a matte background; there is an exceptional shield shaped vacant cartouche to the underside of the pouring lip, surmounted with scrolling leaf mantling. The knopped neck is further ornamented with an interlacing border flanked with plain bands, to a swept portion encircled with pensile bud designs. The decoration to the body incorporates two large scrolling leaf bordered vacant cartouches, each surmounted with a coronet design embellished with floral ornamentation. Each cartouche is further embellished with a chased figural mask design to the nadir, flanked with large floral motifs. Either side of each cartouche is embellished with an exceptional cast and applied three-dimensional winged mermaid and mermen, gesturing towards the aforementioned coronet. The decoration to the body is further embellished with large scrolling leaf and floral sprays incorporating a cast and applied protruding leopard's head to the anterior portion. A fine and impressive pair of antique American cast sterling silver tapersticks; an addition of our ornamental silverware collection. These impressive antique American sterling silver tapersticks have an octofoil panelled form, replicating the details of a Classic English George I style. The plain panelled waisted cylindrical capitals are encircled with protruding scalloped borders to the rims. Each plain waisted column bears a panelled bulbous knop to the upper portion and further scalloped decoration to the lower. The columns surmount octagonal shaped, incurved bases with a sunken well and plain collet style rim. Each candlestick does not have a weighted base. The underside of each base bears the maker's mark 'James Robinson' and 'sterling' standard mark. Condition These antique tapersticks are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The hallmarks struck to the underside of each base are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) basket has an oval shaped form onto an oval swept foot. The body of this silver basket is embellished with fine and impressive pierced and embossed decoration depicting two iconic Chinese dragons amidst clouds. The decoration to the body incorporates a circular vacant cartouche to either end. The shaped border has embossed scroll and floral ornamentation to the rim. This Chinese silver basket retains the original wirework style swing handle. The concaved central well of this basket is plain and unembellished. A fine antique Austro-Hungarian silver and enamel cigarette/card case; part of our continental silverware collection This fine antique Austro-Hungarian silver and enamel cigarette/card case has a rectangular form with rounded edges. The front cover is embellished with an enamel panel depicting two Japanese ladies playing traditional Japanese instruments, the koto (13 stringed zither) and the shamisen (3 stringed guitar-like instrument). The players are seated on the ground in an outdoor scene with traditional Japanese lanterns hanging from tree branches overhead. The sides of this cigarette case and posterior cover are plain and unembellished. The case is fitted with a push fit catch which when released reveals the hallmarked gilt interior of the hinged compartments. The hallmarks to the interior of this impressive case include: Silver quality/purity: Dianakopf mark (800 standard, 800/1000) Assay mark: L (Ljubljana, Slovenia) This variation of the Dianakopf mark was used from 1872-1922, determining the date of this piece as circa 1900. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver and enamel Art Deco candlesticks; an addition to our antique silverware collection These exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver piano candlesticks have a plain tapering square form onto a circular spreading base. The cylindrical capitals are each embellished with a band of guilloche enamel to a plain circular sconce. The capitals are supported by square tapering columns, ornamented with black enamel panels and accented with impressive Art Deco silver motif to one side. The geometric designs are embellished with eighteen pavé set marcasites. The base of each Art Deco piano candle holder is ornamented with further guilloche enamel, to a plain collet style rim. A magnificent, exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of large antique Georgian English sterling silver architectural column candlesticks; part of our ornamental silverware collection. These magnificent antique Georgian English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain subtly tapering columnar form. The large and impressive Corinthian capital of each candlestick retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce ornamented with a plain moulded rim. The cylindrical columns are supported by a cuboid plinth to an impressive plain square stepped three tier base. Each plinth is embellished with a fine and impressive bright cut engraved coat of arms depicting the Head family coat of arms encircled with a belt accented with the family motto 'Study Quiet'. The bases retain the original contemporary engraved inscription 'A token of respect from Francis Head to her aunt Dame Mary Ann Head. 1803' to the lowest tier. Both candlesticks are fitted with turned mahogany bases to the underside. These magnificent Georgian candlesticks were crafted by George Eadon, George Kibbles & John Weaver of George Eadon & Co. The lower portion of the body is encircled with an exceptional band of chased alternating leaf designs. The body is further ornamented with the contemporary engraved initials 'WSM'. This cup retains the original hallmarked domed push fit cover embellished with a large chased stylized leaf motif in a swirl design. A magnificent, fine and impressive, large pair of antique George V English sterling silver bowls / centrepieces in the Art Nouveau style, an addition to our presentation silverware collection. These magnificent and large antique George V English sterling silver bowls/centrepieces have a compressed circular form onto a knopped pedestal and domed circular foot. The plain body of each piece is encircled with an impressive band of applied and chased olive leaf festoon decoration consisting of overlapping leaf designs with a bead motif to subdivision. Both sides of each piece is further ornamented with exceptional and large applied vacant cartouche bordered with a ribbon tied oak and olive branch, in addition to a scrolling and leaf motif to the upper portion. The upper portions of these concaved cartouches are subtly elevated and joined to the moulded decoration to the shaped rim. These antique silver bowls are fitted with impressive and large Art Nouveau style scrolling handles with plain plateaued upper portions and subtle thumbpieces. The knop to the pedestal is encircled with an impressive chased band of oak leaf and acorn decoration accented with a tied ribbon design. These fine examples of Art Nouveau silverware...

A magnificent, fine and impressive, rare pair of antique Danish sterling silver two light Pomegranate pattern candelabra made by Georg Jensen; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection These magnificent and rare antique Danish cast sterling silver candelabra have a circular bulbous form, in the Pomegranate pattern. The surface of each exceptional example of antique silverware has a subtly planished finish. Each impressive two light candelabrum retains the original hallmarked scrolling arms, supporting two rounded organic-shaped baluster capitals with plain circular dished drip pans. The scrolling arms of each candelabra incorporate magnificent scrolling leaf and bead decoration, all in the Arts and Crafts style. The plain bulbous columns surmount a plain circular foot, accented with a petal decorated border to the junction. The bases of these magnificent cast candelabra are not weighted.
