An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver cigarette box in the Art Deco style; an addition to the ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver cigarette box has a plain rectangular form onto four bracket style feet. The surface of this impressive silver box is embellished with impressive engine turned decoration. The box is fitted with two hallmarked hinged covers each embellished with further panels of engine turned decoration in addition to an applied leaf border which continues across a central plateau. The interior of each solid silver cover features a paralleling band of engine turned decoration in addition to the part hallmarks; decoration to the posterior surface of a cover is an indication of the fine quality of a piece. The central plateau is surmounted with an impressive shaped handle, in the Art Deco style. The body of this exceptional box features the original cedar wood lining. This antique Art Deco cigarette box has a weighted base and retains the original leatherette covering to the underside. The box is supported by four impressive cast silver, Art Deco style stepped bracket feet. By virtue of its size this versatile vintage cigarette box could be used for a multitude of functions. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver combination scent bottle / pill box / vinaigrette; an addition to our diverse collectable silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver combination vinaigrette / pill box / scent bottle has an oval barrel shaped form. The body of the vessel is embellished with applied plain broad girdles replicating the details of the bilge and quarter hoops, which provide anchor points for the original link chain. The piece retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover to the scent bottle, conjoined to one of the aforementioned anchor points with a link chain. One end of the vessel is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover, which when opened reveals the vinaigrette with the original hinged grille and gilt interior. The gilded grille is ornamented with a bright cut engraved and pierced decorated bordered scroll and leaf design. The hallmarked hinged cover to the opposing end forms a pill box and opens to reveal the original gilt interior; this versatile box could be used for a multitude of functions. The Bakelite body can be separated into two components, screw fit together. The holder terminates with a bulbous ovoid shaped mouthpiece.
