About Andrew Boos
Andrew Boos is an artist and bespoke rug designer based in Brooklyn, NY. His work is inspired by the physics of light and space, exploring those interactions through the use of line, shape and color. He hand dyes his yarn to achieve subtle variations in tone. This allows for a much freer use of color, more akin to paintings than traditional textiles. The designs are composed on the loom and handwoven by the artist using traditional kilim and tapestry techniques.
