Born in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 1901, son of Evaristo Rodriguez Bréa and Antonia Bonome Pérez, he worked very young in his father's humble cabinetmaking workshop. Little attracted by this job, when his father asks him what he wants to do: "sculptor" he answers.
He therefore entered, at the age of 13, in the religious imagery workshop of José Rivas, at the foot of this cathedral which he admired so much, then at the age of 18 in that of Enrique Carballido.
"Because he is so, so young, Bonome! Ridiculously young said a critic, who probably did not know that these years of apprenticeship, of real apprenticeship as an apprentice in a real workshop (a saint a day and strongly, for all the processions, all the chapels and all the devotees of the province) are each worth four years -at least- of study in an academy..." In 1924, he left for Madrid where he exhibited at the Galician Center, at the National Exhibition and then in La Coruña.
In 1925, at the Galicia Center in Buenos Aires he sold almost 30 of his works.
From 1926 to 1927 he exhibited in Barcelona, at the Venice Biennale then in Monza (Italy) where he met Pirandello, then in Havana.

CIBOURE pottery was founded in 1919 on the Basque coast by Etienne Vilotte (1881-1957), Louis Benjamin Victor Floutier (1882-1936) and a man named LUKAS. In 1922, the date of the formal establishment of the company, Vilotte is the manager. From its inception, the style is clearly defined. A classical orientation, strongly imbued with the antique style and taking advantage of the neo-Greek wave. The characteristics of Art Deco are a source of inspiration as well as the regional style is an influence. The goal is clear: to offer high quality and decorative items whose forms are inherited from the ancient or traditional Basque containers. The sandstone reflects this enthusiasm for this growing area since the late 19th century.
In 1945, Rudolf Fischer bought the pottery on which it imposes its trademark in 1951 - RF CIBOURE - to replace the old - VE CIBOURE -. It will be replaced later by that of his son Max Fischer - MF CIBOURE -. He brings technical and artistic changes such as molding, baking more oxidizing and parts production utilities. This pottery owes its success, in addition to the decorative qualities and originality of its production, to an excellent marketing, particularly among Parisian department stores. P. Emilio Fiaschi (1858 – 1941), also called Emiliano Fiaschi, was an Italian sculptor. He was born in Volterra and died in Florence, Italy. From 1883 to 1885, he studied at Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze and spent most of his career in Florence, Italy. He was skilled in sculpting both marble and alabaster and most often produced female nudes, usually smaller than life-size figures. His female nudes featured highly polished skin and emphasized the curves of hips and waistlines.

CIBOURE pottery was founded in 1919 on the Basque coast by Etienne Vilotte (1881-1957), Louis Benjamin Victor Floutier (1882-1936) and a man named LUKAS. In 1922, the date of the formal establishment of the company, Vilotte is the manager. From its inception, the style is clearly defined. A classical orientation, strongly imbued with the antique style and taking advantage of the neo-Greek wave. The characteristics of Art Deco are a source of inspiration as well as the regional style is an influence. The goal is clear: to offer high quality and decorative items whose forms are inherited from the ancient or traditional Basque containers. The sandstone reflects this enthusiasm for this growing area since the late 19th century.
In 1945, Rudolf Fischer bought the pottery on which it imposes its trademark in 1951 - RF CIBOURE - to replace the old - VE CIBOURE -. It will be replaced later by that of his son Max Fischer - MF CIBOURE -. He brings technical and artistic changes such as molding, baking more oxidizing and parts production utilities. This pottery owes its success, in addition to the decorative qualities and originality of its production, to an excellent marketing, particularly among Parisian department stores.
