Diana Matthews FRSA, born in Guildford in 1935, studied Fine Art at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham from 1954 - 1956. Here she was trained by William Scott as well as visiting lecturers including Antony Fry, Peter Lanyon, Bryan Winter, Adrian Heath and Gillian Ayres.
She went on to teach art at various secondary schools. In 1985 she became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Art.
It was only when Diana retired in 1995 that she was able to concentrate fully on painting full-time and to focus on painting still life and abstract work.

This original oil painting by Romi Behrens is an excellent and vibrant example of her work. Romi Behrens was born in Wiltshire, and moved to Cornwall in 1959, where she lived for the rest of her life. A multi-talented and thoroughly creative person, she was a talented visual artist as well as violinist. She was a long-term member of the Newlyn Society of Artists since the late 1960s, where her paintings were often exhibited in mixed shows. Romi was described by critic Frank Ruhrmund as 'both a speedy and a spontaneous artist' and she was great friends with many leading contemporary artists in the St Ives Colony.
Romi Behrens' work was exhibited at the Arnolfini, Bristol, private galleries in London and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions.

Charles Ross Kinghan (American, 1895-1984) was born in Anthony, KS on January 18, 1895. A teacher, he moved to Wichita as a teenager and did sign painting for the Western Sign Works. He studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art in 1916, the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the Audubon School of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a pupil of Carl Scheffler, J. Wellington Reynolds, and H.A. Oberteuffer.
He taught at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He was an illustrator for McCalls, Good Housekeeping, Saturday Evening Post, Colliers, and many others, including American Artist magazine.
