Unimagined flexibility, thanks to two armchair parts. The architecture of the armchair is based on two parts, each able to swivel about its own axis. Depending on how the two chair parts are rotated relative to one another, the lower part can be used as an armrest, a footrest or practical shelf. Elegant buttoning and Fine piping on all sides – quite in keeping with incomparable De Sede quality underscore the impressive look.
It’s been going on like this forever: ever since our solar system emerged billions of years ago from the so called primordial cloud, the planets – earth included – have been rotating. And thank goodness: if Mother Earth were absolutely immobile, it would be boiling hot on the side facing the sun and icy cold on the other side. As it is, however, we comfortably enjoy our life – sometimes spinning the way DS-262 does as it rises up like a lofty sculpture in the room – but that nevertheless encourages active relaxation, because the range of different sitting postures can be sampled to one’s heart’s content.

The needs and demands of the person seated are virtually limitless. Designer Stefan Heiliger’s basic IDEA was to create a functional armchair that can be operated differently. Previous functional armchairs had a footrest that could be pulled up or an armrest that could be folded up individually. Pli can do without all this. This smart swivel armchair revolutionarily fulfills the arm- or footrest functions with the correct pivot point. The design of the dynamic seating object looks stately. This is how Pli lends a tasteful touch of extravagance to the commercial and residential settings alike.

The modest dimensions of the daybed are a benefit here, as they gently force you to spend some time on your own. Part of the basic furnishings of any upscale interior in the 1920s, the flat daybed has been enjoying a Renaissance for several years now.
Our daybed caused a stir more than 30 years ago, with its elaborate patchwork processing and freely place able back cushions. This timeless Classic has now been gently updated. It is available both as a daybed and as a small lounge sofa, too.
