Casimiro Martínez Tarrassó, a painter known simply as Tarrassó. He was trained at the La Llotja School in Barcelona. He completed his studies in Paris, where he got to know first-hand the Fauvist works that were shaking the Parisian art scene at the time. This Fauve influence will continue to be palpable in his work throughout his life in features such as the strong chromatic contrast, the elevated and somewhat exaggerated perspective, the absolute disinterest in the human figure, which appears only sketched as a complement to the landscape, and the representation of trees as electrified, subjected to tortuous inclinations.
It is these formal features that give his works their own vitality and reduce their connection with the referential to a mere pretext. Tarrassó followed in the wake of the great Catalan landscape painters, paying particular attention to Joaquín Mir, although with a clearly differentiated personality due in part to the impact that Fauvism had on his artistic thinking. He cultivated still life and Catalan and Majorcan landscapes. He held his first exhibition in 1928 in Barcelona. Since then his shows have followed in Barcelona, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca and Bilbao. In 1935 he visited Mallorca for the first time, and from 1940 on he will have a studio there, specifically in Palma, where he lived for long periods and developed most of his artistic production.
After the Civil War, during the 1940s, Tarrassó took part in several National Exhibitions of Fine Arts, in their editions of 1942, 1943 and 1950.
Although the landscape was always the center of his production, Tarrassó also made works such as the mural decoration of the church of Santa María de Badalona. In Mallorca he also carried out a unique undertaking, planting his trestle in the Campanet caves to capture the stalactites and stalagmites from their stone cavities, developing a series of works that he presented in 1948.

Jaume Plensa Suñé (Barcelona, 1955) is a Spanish plastic artist, sculptor and engraver. Very versatile artist who has also experimented with drawing, opera sets, video projections or acoustic installations.1 He is known for his large sculptures made up of letters and numbers.2
Born in Barcelona in 1955, he studied at the Llotja School and the Sant Jordi Superior School of Fine Arts.
Trajectory
In a first stage, his work reflects an interest in issues related to volume, space and tension. In 1983-1984 he began to mold iron with the casting technique and developed a sculptural concept of zoomorphic forms using cuts and folds. In 1986 he started working with cast iron, and later he used glass, resin, lights and sounds.
Since 1996 he has also been dedicated to creating elements and sets for opera and theater productions, mainly in collaboration with the company La Fura dels Baus. He also stands out as a draftsman and engraver.
In 2008 he made the sculpture called "Alma del Ebro" in Zaragoza (Aragon) on the occasion of the International Water Exhibition held there. This sculpture is 11 meters high and is located in front of the Palacio de Congresos, on the banks of the Ebro river. The letters represent cells of the human body, which is made up of more than 60% water. Its white letters and hollow structure invite the viewer to look inside and reflect on the relationship between human beings and water.
In December 2012, he was elected the winner of the 2013 National Prize for Graphic Art awarded by the National Calcography and which recognizes the artist's career in the field of graphic art.3
In 2012 he produced the poster for the Festival de la Mercè in Barcelona.

Juan Jose Abella Rubio was born in Estercuel, a hamlet anchored in the Teruel mining basin in March 1944. In his painting the ocher and reddish colors of his first environment are well present.
In 1956 we find him in Pont d'Inca (Mallorca), studying baccalaureate and magisterium, at the same time that he graduates in artistic drawing and publicity with outstanding. In the correction of the first works, the teachers add this annotation: "You have in your hands a treasure that you can not neglect, you have achieved in only a few lessons what Fine Arts students have achieved for years. Plaster quality ".
In 1970 he moved to Barcelona. He studied at the Universidad Central, graduating with outstanding study of the provisional architecture: "The Tomb of Charles V in Valladolid", which would later be published by the Higher Council of Scientific Research. He completed his training with Fine Arts at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Barcelona.
