Born in Moscow into a family of artists, Sasha Sokolova is an award winning contemporary realist painter, working across a range of traditional oil and water colour techniques. Her current works explore a variety of themes spanning the human figure and nature and feature many of the travel destinations from which she draws much of her inspiration.
Following scholarships from the V. Spivakov fund and Young Talents Fund, Sasha graduated with honours from the Sergey Andriyaki School of Watercolour and Fine Arts in Moscow and went on to complete a Masters of Fine Arts at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. Sasha was selected as the only Russian artist to work on the Oscar nominated "Loving Vincent", the first fully painted feature film.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Charles Malinsky is an internationally acclaimed Canadian painter. His artwork is represented in many distinguished museums throughout the world and has been featured in countless publications. His extraordinary achievements throughout his career have made him one of the most dynamic figurative painters working in the 21st century.
Malinsky was born in 1956 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and grew up in the isolation of the vast Canadian prairies. He earned his diploma from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1978. He then spent his early years in Calgary as a graphic designer in educational Television, winning several international awards from the small, obscure station. Malinsky states, "The shear good fortune to be taken under the wing of a small group of the most talented and creative individuals I’ve encountered in my entire life, including Greg and Gary Crossley, Brian Huffman, John Blackie, and Peter Ivens was a revelatory experience for me." In 1984, he took a posting at ACAD where he taught drawing. It was at this point that Malinsky changed streams and devoted himself to pure art. It took seven years of dedicated studio work for him to find his voice as an artist. His first public exhibition at the Fran Willis Gallery in Victoria, British Colombia created a media sensation normally reserved for rock stars and garnered wide public attention.
Malinsky’s richly complex, layered visual narratives are emotionally clear and accessible. His suburban prairie upbringing provided him with a backdrop of physical and social isolation, obsessed with image over content. His early work thus became focused on the rift between what was experienced and what could not be said. Malinsky’s first exhibitions in the early ’90s, during a time when figurative painting was not considered a legitimate, cutting-edge genre for art, flew in the face of the self-created, intellectual elitism of the deconstructionist movement of the time by creating complex, rich, layered narratives accessible through his figurative approach. He first received critical attention for depicting the dark, disturbing undercurrents of mainstream life, eloquently communicated to a popular reception through his figurative approach.
In 1998, Malinsky left the comfortable confines of his Calgary studio and his posting at ACAD to take on the International art world. He established a base in Madrid, Spain, and began showing successfully throughout Europe as well as the United States.
Malinsky’s paintings and drawings have been the subject of numerous solo and major group exhibitions and his work is represented in many museums, as well as prestigious private and corporate collections, including Fundació de les Arts i els Artistes, Barcelona, Spain(5 works), Collection of the Victoria College of art, Victoria British Colombia, Canada, Nickel Arts Museum, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Michael Williams Collection, University of Victoria, Victoria, British Colombia, Canada(18 works), Permanent collection of the Gallery of Greater Victoria, Victoria, British Colombia, Canada, Seymour Art Gallery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Isaac Pelayo is a head on crash collision between The Renaissance and Street Art.
In a household where constant turmoil and violence were more apparent than most a young Pelayo met escape and peace within the confines of himself and his own creativity. Hispanic born in the heavy beating heart of Los Angeles on the seventh day of June 1996. Pelayo was caught in the crossfires of everything that surrounded him but art served as his only guidance. After dropping out of college Pelayo turned from his hyperrealistic pencil portraits to oil painting where his passions grew more immensely.
As of today Pelayo’s work is most influenced and fueled by the crème de la crème of old master painters like Da Vinci, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and Velazquez as well as graffiti artists such as RETNA, Shepard Fairey, and EL MAC. In 2017 his work caught the attention and landed in the firm grasp of renown rapper and collector Alvin “Westside Gunn” Worthy. He has created several album covers and artworks for the Buffalo rap moguls music label Griselda Records including his personal collection. Pelayo’s paintings are widely recognized and sought out from all over the globe. To begin this description, let me start with this question: Is it the internal side of things that is more important or is it what is presented to us visually? Naturally, the human notices the appearance of things and deals with things that have a direct connection with the senses without considering what is behind them. This makes one go directly to a materialist mindset. It is a mentality that drives one to consider things only from the surface while trapped in a corner in the judgment of only the shape of things observed. So I find the perfect way to describe my project, Primitive Life, as a process of connecting shapes from the internal cells of the human body from which comes the inner sociological forum of that body, expressing it visually and using color as harmony. While extracting the visual values, composing the forms of the cells and representing them in a new abstract way, I express the primitive side of life, concentrating on this often neglected part for the human experience/observation. This expression helps to create a community line of thinking and a social consciousness making it easier to find a common language for all human beings to understand and deal with each other. All the while knowing more about the special world of the artist and creating an arena of communication between the artist as the main subject and the community around him.
Born In Cairo 1987 Where He Currently Lives And Works. He Received His Bachelor’s Degree In Information Systems In 2008 From The Higher Institute Of Advanced Studies And Followed The Evening Classes (Painting Department)Of Fine Arts Faculty, Helwan University From 2005 To 2007. After His Graduation as an Information System Engineer, He Gave Up His Engineer Practices And Decided To Be An Independent Visual Artist. He Participated In Many Solo And Collaborative Exhibitions,Among Which; Nabokov Signs Exhibition In Etejah Gallery, Palace Of Arts In Cairo Opera House In 2016, Kamal Khalifa Gallery At The Gezira Art Center In 2012.
