Stunning Art Deco silver plated bronze lamp of a heron, with faux bamboo shade support designed by the prestigious French Maison Baguès of Paris, circa 1940. Sold without the shade. Bedside lamp or table lamp. Very decorative. Very elegant French work. Origin: France Period: 20th century, circa 1940 Conditions: Very good. Wear consistent with age and use. Some inconspicuous oxidisation, mainly underneath the base and typical silver patina. Height: 68,5cms Width: 15cms Depth: 13,5cms Baguès was created in 1840 in Auvergne by Noël Baguès. The company then specialized in the creation and manufacture of liturgical bronzes. With the generalization of electricity, Baguès began in 1860 with successful lighting bronzes.
