Conditions: Very good. Wear consistent with age and use. Some inconspicuous oxidisation, mainly underneath the base and typical silver patina. Height: 68,5cms Width: 15cms Depth: 13,5cms
Baguès was created in 1840 in Auvergne by Noël Baguès. The company then specialized in the creation and manufacture of liturgical bronzes. With the generalization of electricity, Baguès began in 1860 with successful lighting bronzes. At the beginning of the 20th century, chandeliers were exported to London, Brussels, New York, Rome and even Cairo. In the 1920s, Baguès created its own models in fine ironwork: this was the birth of the collection with its characteristic foliage and parrots.
