Lavishly hand decorated in Imari palette with colours of Iron Red and Cobalt Blue with gilt on an off-white ground, each rim with four projecting Lion's heads ending on four paw feet on a shaped base.
Condition: Superb condition for such early items, light wear to gilding at high points and some staining inside, evidence of gilt overpainting on one cover, see image. Both bases with iron red mark for circa 1815.

Bohemia is well known for crystal, in large part because of certain minerals found only in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. The casing is two crystals melted together, then cut. They set the stage for crystal making and cutting, and I think you may have that backwards, they taught the rest of Europe how to make and cut glass. Stunning Example of a pair of English Minton Porcelain Centerpieces or Flower Vases, each modelled as a kneeling cherub carrying a flower vase on its back in the form of a cornucopia kneeling on a naturalistic circular base on a plain platform stand. Circa third quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Exquisitely decorated in colours of turquoise on white glazed ground with lavish gold highlights.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses, no discoloring anywhere. Typically unmarked as pieces of this early period.

Exquisitely decorated in colors of turquoise on white glazed ground with lavish gold highlights.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses except for a tiny loss dot at dolphins' lip, no discoloring anywhere.
