Joanna Salska was born in Poland and received her MFA from Warsaw Academy of Fine Art. She is a painter and interdisciplinary artist. Passionate about political and social issues, she often touches these subjects in her art. Salska's paintings remarkable achievement is the creation of a sustained emotional effect despite multiple narrative tensions. There is a sense of quiet power, of emergence and beginnings, of wisdom against an anticipated struggle. Sometimes she uses pseudonym “Uba Owl” in her practice.
Joanna Salska as Uba Owl has created a foundation of a new artistic direction which she calls "Alterrealism.” It is an interdisciplinary movement connecting arts and sciences. The main purpose of Alterrealism is to describe a hidden reality in a world dominated and determined by new mass media
Her work has been shown at Foster Goldstrom Fine Arts, Allrich Gallery, PII, Roszkowska Galleries and others. She was invited twice to Beijing Biennale, and her paintings are in many collections, including Beijing Museum, Pamela Bonino, Yaddo Foundation, Washington Museum of Women in the Arts, and many other private collections.

Enrique Chavarría (1927-1998) was a Mexican painter and neo-surrealist, whose fantastic imagery carries forward the work of the Mexican Surrealists. He created hundreds of easel-sized oil paintings on masonite and numerous smaller works. For four decades his principal patron was Bryna Prensky, an American gallery owner from Florida who moved to Mexico City in 1954. She bought most of Chavarría’s known works for her gallery and her own collection.
Prensky said she often found Chavarría in his pajamas at mid-day. He read widely and painted dreamlike images that reflect his wide-ranging scholarly interests. Rosenborg began the study of painting in 1929 at the School Art League, American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and studied privately with Henriette Reiss from 1930 to 1933. Ralph Rosenborg won a scholarship while still in high school to Saturday art classes at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. After classes ended, he continued to study privately with his teacher there, Henriette Reiss, who provided not only exacting technical training, but broad-based instruction in music, literature, and art history. Malgosia Kiernozycka was born in Wroclaw, Poland. She graduated high school at the School of Fine Arts and received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art for the University of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. She studied glass design under Prof Witkowski and painting under Prof Wanda Golkowska. She received her master’s degree along with an award. In 1986 she moved to Germany and studied screen design at the Multimedia Academy in Mainz, and worked as a guest speaker at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wiesbaden. In 1989 she participated in an art exhibition for the best Diploma works in Munich, Germany, and was invited to present her pieces at an exhibition in Osaka, Japan, due to her outstanding work.
