Magnificent pair of clips-on earrings, created in Athens Greece by the jewelry makers of Zolotas, back in the late 1970's. These gorgeous pair of earrings are a real statement and was carefully crafted with ancient Greece technique in solid rich yellow gold of 22 karats with brushed and hammered finishes. They were designed as a left and right pair, with fluted patterns and are fitted at the reverse with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips. The addition of gold posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

The firm of Zolotas, was founded in Athens in 1895 by Efthimios Zolotas. The jewelry of Zolotas is very well known for their designs inspired by Greek antiquity. In the 1950, they made the decision to create the trademark and branches out into international markets. It was also during this era that the jewelry House of Zolotas began crafting what would become their ancient Greek signature style. In a gorgeous combination of modern and ancient styles. This is a very rare and bold versatile pendant-brooch created in Milan Italy by the renowned jewelry house of Verdura, back in 1970. The piece is pretty large and has been crafted in the shape of six curved-arms Maltese cross in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with a finish of high polish and accented in the center with a platinum element for the settings of the diamonds. This center is mounted with an impeccable pave setting composed by natural white colorless diamonds. The brooch is fitted at the reverse with hinged double pins with a trombone security lock. This is a gorgeous piece masterfully crafted and surely will pop up to the wearer. Modeled after the Maltese crosses Fulco di Verdura first created for Chanel in the 1930s, this Ray brooch is one of the firm’s earliest and most popular designs. It quickly found favor with the era’s most stylish women including Millicent Rogers and Truman Capote’s Society Swans. The rich, golden rays center on a pavé-set diamond knot motif.
Diamonds: The platinum parts are mounted in a pave setting, with 138 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 9.66 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

Verdura
The Duke Fulco di Verdura (1899-1978), start his career as a designer in Paris in 1920, Creating the iconic Maltese cross cuff bracelet for his friend Coco Chanel. In the 1934 he moved to the United States and closely collaborate with Paul Flato in California, designing jewelry for the Hollywood stars of the new movie era, including Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. In 1939, he moved again, but this time to the city of New York and to open the Verdura boutique, in the Fifth Avenue location. in that period Verdura gains the estimation of the very high-profile clientele in the new York's high society.

This fabulous cocktail ring, was created in Paris France during the postwar period back in the 1950. The voluptuous ring is very rare, designed by Pierre Sterlé back in the 1955 and masterfully crafted with intricate elements and detailed wires made up in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with platinum accents for the setting of the diamonds. The ring is embellished with a great assortment of sixty-seven natural earth mined white colorless diamonds and Colombian emeralds. Have a French look with chic and elegant style and is very wearable. This is a great addition to your jewelry collection.
Emerald: Mount in the center in a crown-setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (23.4 x 17 x 13.7 mm) of a natural Colombian green emerald with a weight of 40.73 carats.
Emeralds: Mount around in four-prongs settings, with 10 round faceted cut of natural green emeralds, 0.90 carats.
Diamonds: Mounted around and the sides, in four-prongs and pave settings, with 56 European round brilliant cut diamonds, with a weight of about 1.86 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS clarity.

Pierre Sterlé
He was a French jeweler, born in 1905 and was the son of a family of bankers. After the death of his father during the first world war, he was sent to live with an uncle, a jeweler in Paris, who introduced him to the profession. In 1934, he started his own establishment. He enjoyed the support of many large jewelry houses, such as Boucheron, Chaumet and Ostertag, for whom he was already designing jewelry. In 1939, he premiered a range of jewelry specifically for individuals. The writer Colette, fascinated by his work, was one of his first clients. In 1943 he moved to larger premises at 43 avenue de L'Opera, close to place Vendome. Approaching the world of high fashion, he began a collaboration with designer Jacques Fath. During his life, he was known as the “couturier of jewelry” to socialites. Considered during his lifetime to have been an inspired innovator, he reached his apogee in the 40’s and 50's. his work, with precious stones and metal was inspired by nature.

The kinetic Op-Art necklace was masterfully crafted in rich yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The design consists of five (5) independent round wires pendants, separate and graduated making concentric circles motifs in three dimensions. These circles are fitted with concealed hinges locks, which can be removed to convert the necklace with different patterns. The visual artistic aspect is achieved since the hanging circles slightly oscillate with the movement of the wearer, creating in turn the three-dimensional optical effect. This sculptural necklace was produced in a limited series of only nine pieces, making each piece to be unique.

Yaacov Agam
He is a renowned sculptor. He was born in Mandate Palestine, and lived there until 1949, the year after the establishment of the State of Israel. While living in Mandate Palestine, Agam studied in Jerusalem at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Following his 1949 move to Switzerland, he studied at Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule and the Zurich University. He moved to Paris in 1951. Agam is considered one of the founders of kinetic art. Kinetic artwork typically contains moving elements and rely on motion provided by natural forces, motors, or human intervention to achieve their visual effects. In a twist on the classic model of kinetic art, Agam's sculpture Peaceful Communication with the World is painted in such a way that children's growth will change how the work appears to them as they get taller. In a more traditional vein, his Fire and Water Fountain uses mechanically driven parts to help achieve the visual effects. Agam works almost entirely in sculpture, with many of the sculptures on a massive scale. One of his more famous pieces called Hanukkah Menorah is in New York City, stands 32 feet high, and can function as a menorah. His sculptures appear in numerous cities around the world, including Jerusalem, Paris, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles, and the Bahamas. He has held exhibitions and retrospectives at both museums and galleries. His work has been shown in retrospectives at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Musee National d'art Moderne in Paris, and the Tel Aviv Museum. His solo exhibitions have appeared at Marlborough-Gerson Gallery in New York, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico, and the Jewish Museum in New York. In addition to artistic work, Agam routinely involves himself in art education, with lectures delivered at universities and conventions. In 1968, he served as a guest lecturer at Harvard University, where he taught a course on visual communication. Some of his educational ideas for enhancing the cognitive and creative skills of children have been implemented in Israel. The artist currently lives and works in Paris and Tel Aviv.

The rare and important pendant has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 19 karats and is embellished on both sides, with applications of green, blue and red glass enamel floral motifs. The piece is centered by a gorgeous precious fire opal, which is surrounded by squared stations mounted with six natural white pearls and suspended with one pear shaped dangling white pearl.
