A Pink Rafia and Celluloid Braid Bibi Hat - France Circa 1940-1945

About the Item

Circa 1940-1945 France Amazing lady's bibi made of cylindrical ribbon braids in Rafia and pink-parma Celluloid. Work done during the material shortage and made from recycled and recovered elements, from a seamstress probably at home! Matching check silk ribbon entwined in the braids and ending in a rosette on the front! Very slight unsewn parts. Good condition of colour and conservation. Dimensions: Head size 52 cm, diameter 34 cm, height 10 cm.
