About the Item

This darling 1950's forest green hat, rendered in textural green rayon, lined internally with interfacing, in a figure of 8 shape, is a rare piece to behold. The sculptural shape, boasts an external green birdcage veil, which is finished with a central green velvet ribbon detail. This hat will need to be fastened in place with hair pins for added stability. Label: Walter Magnus Inc Length from side to side : 11 inches Width of side: 5.5 inches Size: one size fits all Material: interfacing, rayon, birdcage veil, velvet ribbon Condition: In perfect vintage condition , with a small mend to the birdcage veil. This is not apparent when the hat is being worn and only apparent under close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
