About the Item
The possibilities are endless with this vintage brown fox fur accessory. It can be worn as a lush collar for coats, tweed jackets or sweaters and do double duty as an elegant 'shoulder warmer' stole for evening attire. A different look can even be created by turning the collar in different directions as shown in photograph 1 and photograph 9. It has two hidden sets of hooks at each end for securing and a velveteen lining. Originally retailed at Ferriss Furs in Pensacola, Florida. Very good vintage condition.

19th Century Central Asian Embroidered Chyrpy Mantle Cloak
Located in Atlanta, GA
Late 19th Century woman's mantle cloak or Chyrpy with the artistic hallmarks of the Tekke tribe of Turkmenistan. Though the cloak appears to have sleeves, it is actually intended to drape from the head with the sleeve style tassels hanging in the back. The cloak is primarily made from pieced silk textiles with intricate stitching that creates traditional patterns including a stylized flower and geometric shapes. The hem is decorated with heavy silk fringe and the interior is lined in contrasting printed cotton fabrics. It is a beautiful piece of textile art worthy of display or drape it on the shoulders as shown in the photographs. This special piece is from the estate and private collection of Peggy Slappey, a well traveled lady who passionately collected textile art from Central Asia. Additional items from Ms. Slappey's collection are available on the Modern & Moore homepage including Ikat robes...

MARY MCFADDEN Black Romper Jumpsuit, 1970's
By Mary McFadden
Located in Atlanta, GA
Fun and fabulous 1970’s Mary McFadden black romper jumpsuit with exotic braided belt. The jumpsuit zips at the front to the waist and has a collarless plunging neckline with hidden hooks, if modesty is required. The design is executed in McFadden’s signature micro pleated fabric similar to Mario Fortuny’s creations. The legs are bubble style and give the hint of a harem pant. The skinny sleeves are almost a mutton style with a slight puff at the shoulder. The former owner added the braided belt which adds a touch of rich burgundy red color and antiqued metallic shine but there are so many ways to style this design including a different belt or forgo something at the waist for a dramatic collar necklace. Footwear could also create a different vibe … anything from boots to strappy heels to pointy mules. This jumper may...
