Rare Woven shawl with a cut-out lancet shape that adorns the shoulders of the elegant crinoline from the end of the Louis Philippe period. Lush vegetal decor loaded with wavy stems boteh rising in the bright orange central reserve. This type of Visite stole, made available on a Jacquard loom, was initiated by Amédée Couder at the Universal Exhibition in Paris 1839 and in particular produced by the Maison Parisienne Fortier, for the listed copies. A vintage stopper repair on 1 cm, and 4 to 5 tiny moth holes, clean and very resistant. Very good condition of color and conservation.
Measurement: 71 cm high at the back, total wingspan 270 cm, width of the front panels 40 cm.
