About the Item

Famous for making ready-to-wear clothes with the same meticulousness that other designers reserved for couture, Norman Norell excelled when creating crisp, clean silhouettes that showcased his fastidious tailoring. This contrast coat is the perfect vehicle for his talent: deceptively simple, the slightest misjudgment in cut or fabric would ruin its flawless balance. Three-quarter length coat with bracelet sleeves and collarless round neckline; four working patch pockets at breast and hip. Contrast piped in ½” black linen at all edges except hemline; black 4-button front closure plus three buttons at each wrist and one on each pocket.
