Vintage 1940's Cream Satin Brocade Evening Coat Opera Coat UK 10-14 US 6-10

About the Item

This truly mesmerising 1940's evening coat, rendered in a cream satin brocade with a delicate trailing floral pattern, is the perfect addition to your evening wardrobe. The V shaped neckline is framed by a soft shawl collar, which crosses over along the front of the neckline with a matching covered button fastening. The elegant slopping shoulder line, sets off the mid-length inset sleeves, which boast wide turned up cuffs. The incredible A line cut of the coat, showcases two pockets along each front side seam. This coat is not lined Label: None Measurements of the Coat Armpit to Armpit : 42 inches Shoulder to Hem: 53.5 inches Shoulder to end of sleeve: 14 inches Shoulder to Shoulder: 19 inches Hips: 56 inches Size: UK 10-14 US 6-10 Closures: A single button fastening Condition: This coat is in near perfect condition. A very fain age mark along the front right hand side of the bust-line, this is concealed within the brocade pattern. An age mark along the back of the coat , 4.5 inches away from the central seam and midway height.This are not overly apparent when the coat is being worn, and is well concealed within the drape of the satin and only noticeable upon inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. Fabric: Satin Brocade Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two.
