About the Item
Rendered in the most vibrant shade of red rayon satin, in a timeless and iconic silhouette, this original 1950's vintage swing coat is sure to be a favourite in your vintage collection.
The V shaped neckline is framed by a wide shawl collar, which joins the front of the coat in an edge to edge cut. The simple shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length inset balloon sleeves, which are accented by fitted cuff details , from which the gathered pleats radiate creating an almost architectural design. The A line cut of the coat, sets off the wonderful swing sweep, completing this piece in a truly timeless silhouette. This coat has pockets along either side of the hipline, and is lined in red rayon.

Closures: None
Condition: This coat is in near perfect condition. A small pin sized mark along the right hand side of the shawl collar along the shoulder area . A small pin sized mark along there front right hand side of the hemline . Two small linear marks along the back central part of the collar . Two small age marks along the back of the left hand side sleeve, these are well concealed within the pleats and architectural design . A small pin sized age mark along the front left hand side of the coat above the hemline and near the edge of the front opening. These minor issues are not apparent when the coat is being worn, and only visible under very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
