About the Item

Rendered in the softest shade of ice blue, this original 1950's shantung silk coat is the perfect addition to your vintage collection. The V shaped neckline is framed by a rounded and notched collar, which draws in along the front of the recline with a large statement button fastening. The elegant sloped shoulder line, sets off the wide cut bracelet length sleeves. The A line silhouette of the coat, draws in centrally with three large statement buttons, completing this piece in a timeless silhouette. This coat is fully lined in cream rayon and interfacing to aid in the structure and drape of the silk Label: None Measurements of the Coat Armpit to Armpit :40 inches Shoulder to Hem: 43 inches Shoulder to end of sleeve: 17 inches Shoulder to Shoulder: 15 inches Hips: 49 inches Size: UK 10-14 US 6-10 Closures: 3 buttons Condition: This coat is in near perfect condition, with very light colour variation along the back of the coat. Gentle wear to the silk along the hemline.This is not apparent when the coat is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. Fabric: rayon lined, interfacing, Shantung Silk Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two.
