About the Item

Rendered in the most sumptuous shade of tawny brown raw silk, this original 1950's silk duster coat, is the perfect addition to your vintage collection. The elegant V shaped open neckline is framed by a wide shawl collar which conceals the shoulder lines, and sets off the 3/4 length sleeves. The A line cut of the coat is accented by pockets along each side seam. The edge to edge cut, accents the iconic tailoring of the era. This coat is fully lined in rayon. This coat has 2 front pocket Label: Marshall Field & Company Measurements of the Coat Armpit to Armpit : up to 46 inches Shoulder to Hem: 36 inches Shoulder to end of sleeve: 19 inches Waist: 44 inches Hips: 48 inches Size: UK 12 US 8 Closures: None Condition: This coat is in good vintage condition. The lining of the coat has a few age marks, these are mainly around the internal hemline. Some light and gentle age marks along the back right hand side of the coat externally above the hemline. These are well concealed within the lustre and design of the coat. These minor details are not overly apparent when the coat is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. Fabric: Raw silk, Rayon Lined Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two.
