Vintage 1960's Pastel Paid Spring Coat 1960's Coat Pastel Trench Coat UK 12 US 8

About the Item

Rendered in the most delicious pastel palette of pink, lilac, cream, chartreuse, yellow, red and green, in a plaid pattern, this original 1960's Spring coat, is the perfect statement piece to add to your seasonal wardrobe. The V shaped neckline is framed by a wide pointed collar, which is edged with cream cotton borders. The neckline can be drawn in with a concealed button and loop fastening beneath the collar. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves, with are in turn edged with white cotton borders along each cuff. The timeless straight cut of the coat, is set off by tailored seams which run along either side of the bodice and join the two front pockets along either side of the hipline. Finished with button and loop fastenings along the centre part of the coat, which are set off by a cream cotton border along the right hand side. The back of the coat features a stylised positioned belt. This coat is fully lined in cream rayon. A small pin sized age mark along the front right hand side bust-line. A pin sized age mark along the left hand side yoke concealed beneath the collar. The cream white border details appear to have once features a painted finish, but this is no longer apparent and has left the cotton intact. These minor details are not apparent when the coat is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
