About the Item

The Australian label, Bronx & Banco, channels an ultra glamorous Old Hollywood look with this dark green velvet maxi dress embellished with gold micro bead fringe at the shoulders. The lush velvet fabric is a blend of viscose, silk and nylon which provides a wonderful drape and the slightest bit of stretch to accommodate curves and ease of movement. The dramatic silhouette is reminiscent of 1940's bombshells with pronounced shoulder pads, ruched hips and the hint of a train. The dress zips at the back and sleeve cuffs with v-neckline and a high slit for showing off your gams. It would be a wonderful look for the holidays and has a comfort and ease that would serve well as hostess wear. Designed in Australia and Made in China. Originally retailed for $750. PLEASE NOTE... This Bronx & Banco dress even has a special provenance ... it is from the wardrobe assets of the Fox network production, Monarch, starring Susan Sarandon with Trace Adkins. It was worn by Ms. Sarandon as her character, Dottie Roman. Touched by star power! Now add your own. CONDITION Very good condition. Part of wardrobe assets from Fox Production, Monarch, and probably worn only once. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS Marked a size 'M' for Medium and best fits U.S. sizes 6 - 8 with attention to the following measurements. Measurements provided without stretching though there is stretch to the fabric providing for curves and ease of movement. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4 and did not provide enough curves to do the dress justice.
