About the Item
This enchanting wedding gown features a fairytale skirt measuring over 23 feet around but requires no suffocating undergarments to remain full and feminine. Custom made and sparing no expense in the 30s, its style is equal parts Hollywood and antebellum Regency reflecting the iconoclastic taste of its owner. It has been in storage for almost a century yet remains sturdy, wearable and beautiful despite its age.
On or off-shoulder wedding gown with short, puffed sleeves and full, gathered empire bodice; sleek silhouette from waist to hip, where skirt flares to extreme fullness at hemline. Multiple rear hook and eye closures from hip to mid-back. All gown fabric fully backed in net for modesty, body and integrity; built-in China silk slip with lace hemline.
fabric: silk charmeuse and lace ribbon, net
noteworthy: dry clean only; *skirt is extremely heavy and will keep gown standing upright even if it falls off shoulders*
