Ivory Pearl and Lace Graduated-Length Wedding Gown w Rose Bustle – XS, 1950s

About the Item

With Taylor’s neck and waistline, Hepburn’s sleeves and Kelly’s lace, this wedding gown has all the requisites of a 1950s heirloom. We love how the uneven, graduated hemline and derrière-flattering roses cast a modern influence on the otherwise classic, pearl studded silhouette. The deep hemline on the lace overlay permits lengthening if desired. Ivory ballet-length wedding gown with seed pearl bodice; V neckline and long lace sleeves with wrist points. Back features 5 white organza roses in low V shape at bustle; rear nylon zipper closure. Fully lined (except sleeves) in ivory satin; free-moving skirt lining is deliberately longer than lace top skirt for added dimension. fabric: satin and lace noteworthy: dry clean only alterations: mended small holes in lace condition: very good with above mentioned invisible repairs and age-appropriate bruising to satin skirt lining (invisible when worn) measurements: shoulders: 13 ¾” (6” V neckline opening) sleeve: 20” from shoulder, 15” from underarm not including 2” front wrist points arm circumference: 13” at underarm, 7 ½” at wrist bust: 33” underbust/rib cage: 28” waist: 24” hips: free bodice length: 13” from shoulder, 6 ½” from underarm skirt length: graduated from 35” to 37” (lace top skirt); graduated from 33 ½” to 40” (satin skirt lining) total length: graduated from 48” to 50” from shoulder (lace top skirt); graduated from 46 ½” to 53” from shoulder (satin skirt lining) sweep: 188” (lace top skirt), 236” (satin skirt lining) hem: 5 ½” (lace top skirt), 4 ¼” (satin skirt lining) label: no label present size: no size tag present; comparable to modern size extra small
