A French Chiné Silk Ball Gown Circa 1955

About the Item

Circa 1955 -1960 France Beautiful summer ball gown in taffeta mottled with large bunches of carnations (?) undulating, without claw and dating from the 1950s. Superb silk taffeta crisp, printed on chain, probably from a manufacture in Lyon. Sleeveless dress, large V-neckline on bustier curved marrying the waist to the haunted silhouette. Wrap skirt with large bottom, mounted with small folds on the hips. Side zipper and unlined. Beautiful hand-sewn finishes. This dress requires a petticoat. No defects. Very nice freshness and good condition. Dimensions: Equivalent size France 40-42. Height 122 cm, shoulders 38 cm, chest 95, waist 68 cm, hips 114 cm.
