About the Item

Michael Hoban, in partnership with North Beach Leathers, is a one-of-a-kind designer known for his outspoken color-blocked biker jackets that have been an interestingly a tacit cornerstone to recent-historical American pop-culture. Having his designs worn by larger-than-life personalities such as Dolly Parton and Elvis, his jackets have also been worn by the likes of Jackie Kennedy. This ensemble is comprised of a classic moto-jacket and pencil skirt, both done in a semi-glossy black leather. Red and yellow flash-style appliques decorate the sleeves and around the bottom of the skirt. Broad shoulders and large lapels start off the traditionally imposing form of the moto-jacket transitioning into the silver hardware of the diagonal zip. A large belt right at waist level control the silhouette of the jacket perfectly to transition into the skirt. Ever so slightly high-waisted, the skirt has unconventional curved darts that add to the drama of the flaming ensemble. Cool with an aura of nostalgia, this Michal Hoban ensemble is a collectors’ item as well as a sure-fire way to make bold fashion statement. Two diagonal double welt zip pockets are located just under the bust of the jacket. On the sleeves, there are also the classic zip gusset insets. Both pieces are fully lined. In excellent condition, there are signs of minimal wear to the items. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year.
