Antique Japanese chestnut flower stand, Wabi-Sabi, Japandi

About the Item

This antique stand made of ash wood has a modest yet beautiful presence. The combination of the rustic tabletop and the delicately turned lathe legs is impressive. This flower stand is made of chestnut wood and has a dignified appearance. The top has a dry texture and a slight sheen, and is an octagon with rounded corners. It gives a neat yet soft impression, highlighting the strength of the material. The middle shelf has a similar design, giving it a subtle presence within a light and airy look. The details of the joints and chamfers of the shelves retain the wobble that is unique to handmade products, giving it a quiet elegance. The slender legs gently spread out while firmly supporting the whole piece, creating a moderate sense of tension in the appearance. This quiet and reliable piece can hold a variety of items, including vases and plants, as well as objects and books. It is a modest piece, but one with a strong presence. Our craftsmen carefully repaired it and brought it back to life as furniture to be passed on to the next generation. * Although it is an antique item in good condition, there are small scratches and slight distortions other than those shown in the detailed images. Weight: - About Us - Based in Japan, we reinterpret high-quality Japanese furniture from the Taisho period, a fusion of Western culture and Japanese craftsmanship, and upcycle it into "modern Japanese furniture." Each piece is carefully repaired by a skilled craftsman, and reborn as furniture to be passed down to the next generation. We deliver beautiful and functional Japanese furniture that will be loved for generations to come.
