Antique early 20th Century Chinese export solid silver trophy cup, impressive and exceptionally fine quality, decorated with iris and perched exotic birds against a hand chased matted ground, cup resting on an elegant shaped stem and turned domed foot, base decorated with a floral band, both sides applied with a plane art deco style handles. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver cup; an addition to our Victorian silverware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver presentation cup has a campania shaped form to a circular domed foot. The bulbous, shaped lower portion of this silver cup is embellished with impressive chased and embossed leaf and floral decoration. The plain tapering surface of the cup incorporates the contemporary engraved coat of arms depicting a chevron between three roses, barbed, seeded on a chief of the second a lion passant guardant between two closed books paleways, clasped and garnished of the last, the clasps to the dexter, all above the motto 'Virtus vera nobilitas' - Virtue is true nobility*.
