About the Item

Kamcheng Bowl and Cover. It is decorated throughout with hand painted scenes of figures in the outdoors and probably in celebration. On one side a figure wearing vivid orange is riding a mythical creature while the other figures wear purple and are waving flags and carrying a canopy depicting the auspicious scene of 'qilin delivering another son. The term "Famille Rose" is French for "pink family," indicating this style's characteristic use of various shades of pink and other bright colors in its palette.
