Japanese Antique Exhibition Stand / Sword Case / 1800-1868s / Wabi-sabi
About the Item
This is an old drawer for storing Japanese swords originally called "Katanatansu".
It is thought to be from around the Edo period.
Cedar is used for the material, and a large number of Japanese paper is pasted on the outside of the box and dyed with persimmon juice.
It is characterized by changes over time and red and black stripes.
You can also use it as an exhibition stand by removing the inner drawer and placing the outer box vertically.
It can also be placed sideways and can also be used as an exhibition stand to decorate small items.
I think the artistic expression created by the change of time is very valuable.
We recommend incorporating the beauty of Japanese wabisabi into the interior.
