About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely Chinese hand carved soapstone figure with a singular holder. This is a great example of a Chinese, hand carved item with a small bowl or holder with soft colours all around. The item is presented with a scene of nature, showing a bird and what looks to be a grasshopper. This unique piece can be used just as a display item or to store pencils or brushes. The item presents some honest use, but nothing that affects the colours and usability. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you may need more information. Please have a closer look at the pictures because they form part of the description. Antique and vintage/used items will show signs of wear which form part of their character. All our items are cleaned thoroughly, then a coat of wax is applied to revive the leather/wood and finally hand polished.
