About the Item
This is an old Japanese wooden mold, probably made in the 20th century during the Showa period. I don't know what it was used for, but it has a unique texture as a traditional tool used in the old days. The mold is made of cedar and cypress wood, and the texture of the material is also one of its charms.
It has a distinctive oval shape, and the protruding round parts are accents, giving the whole piece a soft impression. In addition, the surface has signs of use and scratches, giving it a sense of depth that only old things can have. These marks allow you to enjoy the beauty of aging over time.
It has an interesting shape that resembles the face of the Giant God Warrior from the Japanese anime film Techno Castle Laputa, a Ghibli work.
