Amazing and unique Samuraï armor.
End of XIXth century, early XXth century.
Nimai do Okegawa gusoku (2 plate with barrel form cuirasse armor).
Composed of an iron helmet mounted with large standing rivets and "Kuwagata" decoration (shoe shaped decoration) on the front. Dark brown lacquered iron Ressui-men (mask with fierce expression).
Okegawa style cuirasse.
The sleeves, thigh protection and skin guards are lined with silk brocade lacquered throughout with dark brown lacquer.
Stored in a black lacquered box.
