Silk Black Haori Jacket for Men 1960s Sesshu Toyo

About the Item

This is a Japanese Haori jacket for men made in 1960s (Showa era) and made with silk. It is reversible. Inside of this haori, the design is with landscape, this design was drew by an artist 'Sesshu Toyo'. Outside is with family crest. The family crest is called 'Kamon' in Japanese. This haori jacket's kamon is called 'Maruni kenkatabami'. It is possible to wear but also it can be used as decoration on the wall. *The design is printed. Dimensions: Length 106cm Width 130cm Sleeve length 33cm Sleeve height 51cm Sesshū Tōyō (c. 1420 – August 26, 1506), also known simply as Sesshū, was a Japanese Zen monk and painter who is considered a great master of Japanese ink painting. Initially inspired by Chinese landscapes, Sesshū's work holds a distinctively Japanese style that reflects Zen Buddhist aesthetics. (By Wikipedia)
