3-Piece Set of Qing Dynasty Armchairs and Table

About the Item

3-piece set of Qing dynasty armchairs and table. These authentic antique Chinese hand carved screen back armchairs are masterpieces of Qing dynasty furniture. The chairs feature an Archaistic key motif. They are elegant and simple in style. Built in the exquisite mortise and Tenon structure that requires workers to be precise and compact. It takes years to master the carving technique. The relief carvings on the back splat of the chairs are very delicate. The chairs are made from the core of elm wood with a beautiful wood grain. The 3-piece set is solid and kept in excellent condition. The smooth hand feeling of the furniture surface shows original wear and the wood has mellowed naturally over the years to a warm honey patina. This suite is a rare find with a substantial presence of the Qing dynasty furniture. Condition: The set is in very good antique condition. A few small old repairs on the feet and on the tabletop adding to the charm and history.
