At the young age of 17, Serge de Troyer modeled around the world for, among others, Versace, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, GUESS, etc. This privileged exposure forged his own unique understanding of cutting-edge fashion that has refined his sense of style which he brings to his craft as a furniture designer and interior decorator. His travels as an A-list model allowed him to indulge his love for architecture and culture, and these influences are infused in his furniture and interior decors. Today, Serge simultaneously maintains his decors and furniture design business based in Miami, Florida. Schooled in a rigorous seven-year decorating course at the prestigious Art Academy of Saint Laurentius in Lokeren, Belgium. He is steeped in a tradition that stresses his priority of the craft combined with his drive to manipulate boundaries as opposed to simple, pure theory. This has given him a deep appreciation of the functionality, mechanical properties, and raw materials. Serge approaches each design project with a disciplined vision.
